I guess when I said “let’s go take some pictures!” I was thinking more along the lines of me taking her picture. But this is cool! Whatever :)

I bet some photographers out there have children who love the camera – that is not me. My child will ignore everything I say when I have my camera out. Thank goodness for treats! I hadn’t even considered it, really. We were just outside today, enjoying strangely warm weather for December.
First set of photos here – no bribe. Then I just let her play – no camera. Then later, she was picking her nose. Then I offered her Scooby Snacks! Then I tried to have her pick her nose again because I wasn’t sure I caught a good enough picture :) And she didn’t understand what I meant by that, so she just grabbed her nose & then thought it was all pretty hilarious :) These have made me smile & I hope they’ll make you smile too!

This year we will be making heart garland out of scrapbook paper and thread. I figure it will be a fun and simple way to teach my 9 year old how use a needle and thread and my 20 month old can hand him the hearts:) Very cute! Love Valentine’s Day too! Hubs and I are having a post-Valentine’s Day double date with a couple friend that we have been trying to get together with FOREVER! I’m so excited! I love these! This Valentine’s is important to me, because it will be the first Valentine’s that we get to spend together married! And only the second that we actually get to spend together because he was deployed for the first one we had together. He is my best friend and has been for almost 5 years now and I am so excited to spend this with him! :) Such a little guy, he is! And he was amazing during his shoot. He didn’t want to miss a thing – but eventually he did give in & fell asleep. Right about the time dad was holding him – his eyes got heavier and heavier… Melanie & Kyle, you are going to have such an incredible new year watching Gauge grow. Thank you for letting me enjoy a bit of his new little life. ♥
