The Daum Family

The Daum family (Valerie, Mark & Blair) is such a fun family! I swear the dad (Mark) looks like Fergie’s husband Josh Duhmal. It’s uncanny! That little thought has nothing to do with the family, of course, but it’s a fun tid-bit! :) Blair was a little golfer in my Halloween Mini sessions this year. Man, he was so funny! And so good at his game! I was so excited when the family wanted to have another session for MORE photos!
Blair is so inquisitive & he wants to know the answer for everything. I said “Ok, now let’s move over here.” Blair asks, “Why?”. I think I remember that we heard a little kid crying and I believe Blair asked “Why are they crying?” I remember that because I believe my response was (my sense of humor) “Because they don’t get to have their pictures taken today.” ;) Anyhow – he’s just very smart and wants to know it all. And maaaaaaaan, when I had him throw some leaves into the air, he didn’t want to stop doing that at all. He had a blast. I think (I hope) I captured that well for these guys! He just had a ball! And although he wanted to do that (throw leaves in the air) more than take photos – he’s a kid! That happens. He was just doing what was fun for him. Overall, a great day with a great family.

This photo (below) marks a memory that I even told my husband about when I came home from this shoot. (He generally comes with, but our baby girl had a fever.) We were nice and calm, having fun, taking photos and Blair all of a sudden pointed up at something and said with such excitement “Look!!” And we were of course wondering what he saw!! And when we said “What?!” he said so calm and cool – “It’s just a light.” With a geeeez-sounding repsonse. ;) That was classic!
